The Role

As the Senior Product Manager, you will be the owner of major new product areas to continue to expand the product suite for our customers. You will own the design and execution of the data pipeline for our Compass Platform suite of products. 

You’ll work with customers to ensure the design & delivery help enable their success. 

You are excited about big data and building data pipelines that deliver quality data. You are comfortable working with a cross-functional team, ranging from the development team (front-end, back-end, and big data), to peers on the Product Management team, to inbound Data Management roles. 

You will help shape the future of the product and own the roadmap of the data pipeline and core architecture. This also will include designing features, writing detailed product specifications, and working with the development team to bring designs to fruition. 

This is a great opportunity for someone who is excited about product design from the ground up and thinking strategically about data pipelines and architecture for scalability, reliability, and quality in data delivery.
What You'll Do
  • Own and design data-focused product components and features from start to finish, including user stories, specifications, quality control checks, and data dictionaries
  • Own the roadmap for the data pipeline & architecture
  • Manage the prioritization and focus on data pipeline enhancements
  • Author high-quality design specifications within an agile methodology based upon industry and customer requirements
  • Support release and sprint planning to ensure product enhancements support customers at the right time and in the right sequence
  • Be the voice of the customer to design product capabilities that meet customer/market needs
  • Requirements
  • Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Engineering, UX, QA, and Product Management to ensure products are built and delivered with quality
  • 6+ years of hands-on Product Management experience, technical services, engineering, analytics, or other related positions
  • Experience working on data pipelines, such as designing ETL/ELT processes, schemas, and QC checks
  • Understand how relational databases work, and experience designing transformations, mappings, and working with reference tables
  • Comfortable with SQL
  • Experience investigating data issues and working with Data Scientists as needed for complex analysis
  • Energized by working through complex problems and bringing innovation to products
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related technical field
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience with Life Sciences and Healthcare data, such as prescription claims, medical claims, or lab data
  • Experience working on data mesh systems & AWS platform
  • Experience in enterprise products
  • Former Software or Data Engineer transitioned to Product Manager
