Role:
As accounting associate you will assist the Director of Finance, Controller with the day-to-day accounting activities. You will play a key role in providing accurate, timely financial information to decision-makers. 
Primary Responsibilities & Objectives
  • Process all accounts payable activity ensuring transactions are processed timely and accurately.  Initiate payments electronically.
  • Process and record payroll on a semi monthly basis. Communicate with multiple states to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and best practices. 
  • Assist with sales tax filings and compliance in multiple states. 
  • Assist in month end close activities including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
    • Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Highly organized, process and detail-oriented, and possess ability to write and communicate effectively.
  • Quickbooks experience preferred but not required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills a plus
