Sales Operations Manager, M&A

Remote - United States Revenue - Sales Operations
About the Position
The Manager, Sales Operations will be responsible for guiding acquired companies along the sales integration journey and evolving our sales guidelines and collaboration efforts for all lines of business. This role will be a trusted advisor to existing Business Development (BD) leadership and to newly acquired companies as we integrate them into our CRM (Salesforce) and support their adoption of FiscalNote’s sales processes. This person will partner with teams across FiscalNote to deliver M&A integration that supports the company’s growth strategy. 

About the Sales Operations Team
The Sales Operations team supports and enables our revenue teams to sell and serve more effectively and efficiently. By managing internal systems, technology, and processes, this team ensures our Business Development team has what it needs to be successful. Beyond the day-to-day support of the revenue teams, the Sales Operations team is integral to corporate strategy by providing insightful analysis to inform data-driven decision-making.

Comfortable working cross-functionally, you are able to tailor your communication style and narrative to suit the needs of the audience - be it a front-line representative or a member of the Board.
What to Expect in this Position:
  • Operate as the Sales Operations lead on sales guidelines and M&A integration post-closure
  • Advise on and translate go-to-market strategies into operational policies, proactively identifying and resolving potential risk areas where there may be overlap
  • Maintain our written policy for representatives about which products they may sell in which geographies and to which personas in response to organic and inorganic growth
  • Program Management (scope/schedule/risks), business analysis (fit/gaps, business requirements, functional requirements, change requests), influence integration systems architecture, as-is and to-be state process documentation for M&A integration for BD
  • Map and migrate data from various acquired CRMs into FiscalNote’s primary instance of Salesforce, establishing and aligning new products within FiscalNote’s reporting taxonomy
  • Manage M&A organizational change efficiently, minimizing disruption for the organization while carrying out with excellence, and clearly communicate status, risks, and remediation plans with stakeholders
  • Create a M&A playbook for Business Development to support integration delivery with repeatable templates/processes

  • Your First 6 Months:
  • Month 1: Learn FiscalNote:
  • Develop an understanding of the FiscalNote customer lifecycle, sales process, and product suite
  • Learn our Salesforce infrastructure for reporting
  • Master FiscalNote’s contracting process 
  • Shadow current sales M&A integration work 
  • Months 2 - 3: Apply Knowledge & Document Processes
  • Build reports for operational use 
  • Support contracting inquiries 
  • Begin participating in sales M&A integration work with support from the existing Sales Ops team
  • Create a template/work plan for the next M&A integration 
  • Months 4 - 6: Manage Projects
  • Continue support with reporting and contracting
  • Take ownership of sales M&A integration
  • What Sets You Apart:
  • 3+ years of professional experience with project management responsibilities
  • Relevant professional experience working with product operations, CRM, sales operations, order/contract management, and quote to cash functions
  • Experience thriving in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment 
  • High emotional intelligence and discretion with sensitive information
  • Experience navigating interdependencies on M&A projects or similarly complex projects (ie product launches, migration efforts to deprecate legacy systems) which includes business & technology alignment plus change management
  • Strong influence skills to collaborate effectively with partners that lead to improved decision-making and business outcomes
  • Experience using Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ
  • Proficiency in G-suite applications 
  • Professional experience in sales, sales operations, consulting, and/or M&A
  • Experience with Project Management tools
  • Experience working at a growing public company
  • MBA/PMP preferred
