TITLE: Associate MEDICAL DIRECTOR
DEPARTMENT: Medical Services
SUPERVISOR: Chief Medical Officer
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
POSITION GOAL: The purpose of this position is to provide, under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, comprehensive women’s health care in the areas of gynecology, sexually transmitted disease, family planning/contraceptive counseling, surgical services, abortion care and mid-life services. Recommend and implement new services to support diversification of medical services. Also, this position will serve as the trainer and lead physician for all abortion related services.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Functions as the primary designee by the Chief Medical Officer regarding the clinical management of specific clients.
Participates as a member of Medical Services teams to provide direction and leadership to affiliate staff.
Serves as lead trainer and lead physician in abortion care service delivery.
Adheres to and administers affiliate QRM Program to ensure PPFA, state, local, federal and funder requirements are met or exceeded.
Support the affiliates financial goals by maximizing revenue and expense management.
Participate in implementation of the strategic vision for medical services and suggest service expansion, clinician training, facility design/location, etc.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Requires Board Certified MD or DO from accredited institution, board certified/eligible and hold a Florida State License. Proven experience providing second trimester abortion services is required.
Must comply with licensure requirements for practice capacity and have current license in practicing states (Florida). Proven experience in women’s health and a mastery of surgical abortion care delivery. Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills in professional activities. Must have prescriptive authority with current licensure. Professional, positive attitude with proven ability to contribute effectively to highly functioning work teams.
Essential Functions performing specialized procedures/services:
· Must meet requirements for performing colposcopies and LEEP’s as outlined in the Affiliate’s Medical Protocols.
· Must be granted clinical privileges for all services performed by the Affiliate’s Chief Medical Officer or the designee with a copy kept in the personnel file.
· Must be able to provide medications and surgical termination services.
Benefits and compensations:
Hourly compensation range: Starting at $250,000.00/ year
Eligible for all applicable benefits effective the first of the month following 60 days from your hire date.
Paid Time Off, accrues immediately but can't be taken until after 90 full days of employment : 3 weeks of paid time off, 10 recognized Holidays in addition to PTO, 1 personal day, and birthday.
